I am delighted to join Union Square Ventures as General Counsel. I am joining the team at an exciting moment. We are pursuing many complex investments across our web and mobile, crypto and climate platforms; our team is thinking hard about structures that make sense for our portfolio companies and our limited partners.
Critical to the work is our culture. Our tradition of debating competing visions of the world is matched by the rigor and intensity of our efforts to get deals done. USV is also friendly; at our offices, we have a pillow bearing the message, “Be nice or leave.” Importantly, the members of our team have formed relationships with each other that they can rely upon.
I join USV from Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, a New York law firm where I advised companies on M&A and investment transactions, often with complex structures.
